I have been told that all the best spots in the world are in europe, and that is true. For a dutch person, it is hard to find a party in the world that is as good as a dutch party. I love the feeling of having a large group of friends and I think it is something that you should cherish.
The people that live in Oakland are usually in great shape at 80-90% on all kinds of stuff so they don't mind having a few drinks with a good friend or two if they get lucky enough to meet.
But that doesn't make it OK if you're an old soul that doesn't drink. Oakland's D&D Society has always been at the heart of the city's culture.
The club's history is full of amazing characters and great music. I love that they have a Facebook page and that the members are so helpful and friendly. I've been a regular member of the club since it first came on our radar when we were young kids. The group has been great for a decade and it's still going strong.
We got to play in The Rock and Roll Room at Bimbo's. I have to tell you something about this place. I've been to lots of different places over the years but never had anything like this.
The music was amazing, the atmosphere was cool, and we were able to meet all the cool folk like Dave Brubeck, David Gilmour, and the late Steve Vai.
The rock and roll room was filled with great music with a few weird folk, but not the kind that get into drugs.
