The statistics from my department are just as interesting when I show the statistics. For example, in 2015, there were 2,037 clubs in Charlottesville in all types.
This number of people was more than the 3,065 people from Baltimore (Baltimore is on the list for the year. Baltimore had 5,085 clubs. Baltimore is on the list for 2015.) This is an amazing number of people going to live music and that is why I like to have a live event at my club.
It's also really exciting when people come out for live music. BALTIMORE LIVE IN AUGUST 2018 The first live event in August in Baltimore will be The Baltimore Live, August 4-6, 2018.
The band, The Pianos will be playing at 7:15 p.m. on the third level at Biddle's Place. The Pianos are from the Baltimore area but play the music of their home town.
We have visited Music Club at 1015 Central Ave in July this year. We arrived in the club at 23 and parked our Chevrolet Silverado close to main entrance. Inside club corridor we noticed that there are stairs on opposite side of the hallway. I was confused as to why there are stairs there. We then asked a bouncer about the stairway and he said that it was for VIP area.
We were not VIP since we were not in the club for that night's VIP. We walked pass the stairway and noticed a very dark and scary looking black hallway that leads to the stairs. We did not want to walk up the hill, so we decided to leave to our Silverado.
After we left the club, we got back into our vehicle and continued to take it on road. Soon we saw the stairs. We pulled over and decided to take a detour to the back parking lot at the right time that we didn't have any problems with the stairs It was difficult for us to park our Silverado in the lot, but we did.
I am wondering if I should contact the club about the poor lighting in the club during the late hours? Thank you for your concerns. Music Club 1015 Central Avenue is a well-known place to many in the area, and we appreciate your coming by to let us know that you were uncomfortable at our club.
We have visited the location in the past at our request to see if it was suitable for our night. We have not had an issue at the Club or the parking lot.
The issue you are reporting now is different than the issue of years past. This issue now is related to a new business, not the Club, the parking lot, or our employee. As you know, a new business owner can affect a new business differently from what was present before.
You had not been at the Club previously, so we didn't know. However after you sent your concerns, we reviewed the Club's safety issues. We didn't think that was enough information to change our policies, so we looked at our security camera footage.
With this, it is evident that some people are parking in the lot and getting in, when they should not be, because this was not an issue in years past.
We do not know what has transpired outside of our Club, but the Club is responsible for our customers and is the only business on site. The club is open till 3:00 am.
I can't stress how hard the club tries to be welcoming to our community. The fact remains that those in the parking lot are trespassing and not using common sense.
