Her set was a mixture of jazz, hip hop and country. I went to a concert with that band called SAVING RUBY in 2002. The place was packed and people in the parking lot were singing all night in a big, passionate celebration where a great deal of music was being played. When I was younger (13 years) I used to go to concerts where the bands used to play for a while, and then the promoter would play for 10 minutes. I didn't hear it that often and thought this was just the band playing.
I didn't like it very much, but I think it has a special place in my heart. After the concert, everyone had the feeling that the band had played a longer song because the promoter didn't seem to think that they would be able to keep up with that crowd. When I heard that they stopped playing after a while because the promoter decided to play an old song, I didn't like that as much. After all that, I remember the singer saying something like, "I'm happy, I'm tired, it's time to move on." So, I thought that this song was going to last.
But, it never did. The band kept playing, but they never changed their style. It was like something out of an old song. At some point I started looking at the music and started thinking about the band's music. I decided that if I listened to the song more often, I wanted to find out what kind of music they were playing. This is exactly what happened when I went out to listen to a band called TEMPLE and FACTORY (the band that came around around 1999), that also used to make grea.
