What was your first mix? I think I was 15 when I mixed my first mix. I was really excited. I mixed all kinds of stuff but my first mix was a 70s mix. I mixed, Prodigy, and Public Enemy.
My girlfriend and I were just starting to go out to clubs in the late '90s. We'd been friends since the beginning of the year. We had some friends who were DJing and it was a great idea at the time.
It just started going from there. I was going on dates with some guys and one night I go to a DJ party in St. Paul and they were having a good time, but the guy in a booth over there started DJing.
He was playing all those old disco, disco, disco things, so I'm just like, "Wow. That's great. That's cool." They had me at DJing that night, so I got there and we played.
