Longmont has become known for its dubstep scene since it took the reigns of dub style after the release of "Breathe" from the legendary hip hop group Deftones back in 2004. Longmont has been the largest and biggest city for this genre.
Longmont had 2 clubs from 1998 through 2006 where the main venue was named the Longmont City Hall and the 2nd venue is Longmont's main club, the Club House at 607 W. Main St. It seems like there is a great variety of club music in Longmont, but it is very different than other parts of the state.
