This was back in the days when the club was a lot smaller and there were no DJs that were around anymore.
This is how the sound would be, and what it would sound like and how it would play out. The music would usually be laid back and quiet and would be played at a slow speed to slow you down and slow you down. So it would feel like a small space with just some music going on and the crowd would just follow, but you would not get bored.
We had music from some of my favourite artists and a huge selection of bands and music. You would be able to listen to music for hours without getting bored and enjoy yourselves whilst in a room as small as a few inches.
The music was really different than other clubs in the time period. The space could be set up and there would be only a few people there. There were usually only the occasional DJs playing music, not too many and usually for a few hours.
There would be some really good artists that would come out and play and there would be one DJ that would be playing the main line up and the rest would follow, but there would be only a few people present around the music. It felt relaxed, but there would be no real feeling like someone was there or you were in a small room with music playing at a slow rate to make your life even more comfortable. In my opinion, this atmosphere is what defines the quality of music in this music scene, so I can't complain here.
The people that lived here in the 90s, they had very strong opinions about what music was acceptable in this place and what music was not acceptable. You know, they wanted to have a good time, that's all. They loved this place, they loved going there at night and it was the best time in their lives, but there was one group that always made people leave, they called them The Blacklist or the Bluelist and they hated it when people went drunk and start being aggresive.

I'm constantly on the lookout for new and interesting venues to satisfy my insatiable appetite for live music. My latest discovery is The Southgate House Revival in Hamilton, Ohio, and let me tell you, it has exceeded all of my expectations. I first stumbled upon this gem while perusing Facebook (yes, I know, very millennial of me) when a friend mentioned seeing one of her favorite bands at The Southgate House Revival. Intrigued, I did some digging and was immediately drawn to the venue's eclectic lineup, which featured everything from indie rock to bluegrass to metal (yes, really). But as someone who has been burnt by overhyped music venues in the past, I approached my visit with a healthy dose of skepticism. Would the sound be adequate? Would the crowd be rowdy and disruptive? Would the bar prices be astronomical? (Let's face it, those are my main concerns. Well, folks, I'm happy to report that The Southgate House Revival has managed to defy all of my cynicism. From the moment I stepped through the doors (which, by the way, are beautifully crafted and give off a decidedly vintage vibe), I could sense that this was no ordinary music club. The sound quality is top-notch, with each note ringing out crystal clear and every word easily discernible over the din of the crowd. And speaking of the crowd, they're a pleasant mix of hipster millennials, middle-aged rockers, and everything in between. There's no sense of hostility or aggression here, just a genuine love for music that transcends generational boundaries. As for the bar prices? They're definitely on the higher side (a beer will set you back around $6), but they're not exorbitant by any means, and I found that the quality of the drinks more than made up for the slightly steeper price tag. And hey, isn't supporting a local music venue worth shelling out a few extra bucks?
In short, The Southgate House Revival is the real deal, folks. If you're looking for a place to see some truly amazing bands in an intimate, welcoming setting, then this is the spot for you. I wholeheartedly recommend that you check it out - your ears (and wallet) will thank you. Oh, and one last thing: while I was there, I couldn't help but notice a recent news item about oil prices slipping after data pointed to cooling U. S. Economy. While this might seem like bad news on the surface, I'm actually feeling pretty optimistic about it. After all, a weaker economy could mean lower interest rates and potentially even rate cuts from the Federal Reserve. This, in turn, could boost demand for oil (and other goods and services) while still supporting prices as Brent drops to $87. WTI falls to $83. It's a delicate dance, but I have faith that our economy can weather the storm and emerge stronger than ever before. So here's to lower oil prices and higher spirits - may they both continue to thrive in 2019 and beyond!
Until next time, keep on rockin' in the free world (or at least in Hamilton, Ohio). Peace out.

"The Go Bananas Comedy Club music club in Hamilton, located at 8410 Market Pl Ln, Cincinnati, OH 45242, United States, provided an atmosphere as diverse as a single-color paint palette, with DJs who seemed to have just one record on repeat, ensuring that every guest could enjoy the monotonous tunes from start to finish. The ironic highlight of the club was undoubtedly its name – 'Comedy Club' – which, unfortunately for us, was the only thing that seemed to be in abundance; humor, however, was not. As we trudged through a series of repetitive playlists, my family and I couldn't help but feel as though we were trapped in an endless loop of musical mediocrity."
Dear Natalie,
While I appreciate your honesty and candidness regarding your experience at Go Bananas Comedy Club, I must respectfully disagree with your assessment. Based on my own recent visit to the club, I can confidently say that the atmosphere was anything but monotonous, and the humor certainly did not fall short of expectations. Firstly, the DJs at Go Bananas were far from one-trick ponies. In fact, I was thoroughly impressed by their ability to seamlessly blend a wide variety of genres throughout the night, keeping the crowd engaged and energized from start to finish. Whether it was classic throwbacks, current chart-toppers, or lesser-known gems, these DJs had something for everyone. Furthermore, your claim that humor was in short supply is simply unfounded. In fact, the comedians who graced the stage during my visit were nothing short of hilarious. With witty banter, clever one-liners, and impeccable timing, these performers had the audience laughing until their sides hurt. From observational humor to cutting satire, the acts at Go Bananas Comedy Club truly had something for everyone. Of course, I'm not saying that your experience was necessarily negative or that you didn't have legitimate gripes with the club's offerings. However, I do believe that it's important to approach these reviews with a critical and nuanced perspective, taking into account all of the various factors that contribute to the overall atmosphere and experience. In closing, I would like to extend an invitation for you to come back and give Go Bananas Comedy Club another chance.

Hey, my name is Nora and I recently visited COVE 51, a music club located at 11473 Chester Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45246, United States with my friend. The atmosphere was amazing, the decor was cool and hip, and the lighting was just right for dancing the night away. We arrived around 9 pm, and the club was already packed with people of all ages enjoying themselves to the beats of the DJ. At first, we were impressed by the sound quality, but as the night progressed, it became apparent that something was wrong. The music seemed muffled and distorted, making it difficult to distinguish the different instruments and vocals. It was quite disappointing as the music is what draws us to these clubs in the first place. We tried moving around to find a better spot, but unfortunately, the problem persisted throughout the night. Despite this setback, we couldn't help but appreciate the efforts of the DJ. His music selection was diverse and catered to the different genres that filled the club. He played everything from hip hop to EDM, keeping the crowd engaged and dancing throughout the evening. The atmosphere was electrifying and contagious, making us forget about the sound quality issues for a while. The interior decor of COVE 51 is stunning. The walls are adorned with vibrant artwork and graffiti, adding to the hip and trendy vibe of the place. There are comfortable seating areas where you can relax and enjoy drinks or food from the bar menu. The lighting is dimmed, creating an intimate setting that's perfect for dancing and socializing. We would like to express our gratitude and thankfulness to COVE 51 for hosting us despite the sound quality issues. We understand that technical glitches can occur, and we hope that they will address this issue soon. In spite of this, we had an enjoyable time at the club and look forward to returning in the future.

I stepped into the dimly lit Knotty Pine Bar, its rusty sign creaking in the gentle breeze like a dying animal. It's been years since my wife and I last set foot in this dive, a relic of our youth that now felt like a lifetime ago. As a visitor to Hamilton, I was drawn to this infamous music club out of morbid curiosity. The air inside reeked of stale beer and desperation, a potent cocktail that seemed to cling to every surface like the smell of smoke on my clothes after a late night fire. The patrons were a mix of locals and transients, all united by their love of bad decisions and cheap whiskey. I spotted a few familiar faces from our old stomping ground, but they barely registered as I made my way to the bar. The bartender, a grizzled veteran with a scruff that rivaled his beard's ferocity, greeted me with a nod and asked what I was having. Beer," I replied, trying to sound nonchalant despite the growing sense of unease in my stomach. As he poured my drink, I couldn't help but think about the news I'd read on the way here – Israeli settlers torching an entire West Bank village, leaving destruction and despair in their wake. It was a sobering reminder that even in the midst of all this chaos, there are still places like Knotty Pine Bar, where people can momentarily escape the horrors of the world. But at what cost? The music began to play, a discordant mix of grunge and post-punk that seemed to match the turmoil brewing inside me. I took a sip of my beer, feeling the bitter taste wash over my tongue like a metaphor for the state of the world. As I scanned the room, I spotted a few couples sharing nervous glances, their fingers intertwined like desperate lifelines. Others were lost in conversation, oblivious to the tension that hung in the air like a challenge. I wondered what it would be like to be back here with my wife, to share this moment of madness and mayhem with someone who truly understood me. But she's gone now, and I'm left to navigate these treacherous waters alone. The music grew louder, more frenetic, as if trying to keep pace with the chaos outside. I finished my drink, feeling a sense of resolve wash over me. It was time to face whatever demons were haunting this place head-on. As I made my way back out into the night, the sign creaking ominously above me, I knew that Knotty Pine Bar would be a night to remember – for all the wrong reasons.

The Spotted Cat Music Club has decent live folk music but the small stage makes it tough to see the performers clearly.
The Spotted Cat’s live music is always lively and authentic, but the venue feels a bit cramped during peak nights; still worth checking out for its local scene.
The Spotted Cat had decent live music but the acoustics were terrible-everything sounded muffled. Also, it took over 15 minutes for our server to bring drinks even though we were near the bar.
The Spotted Cat Music Club’s live jazz was lively-would love to know if they host more experimental acts on Tuesdays?
Curious about the live jazz vibe here-anyone tried the open mic night? The cozy spot feels right for late-night tunes.
